Maxine is passionate about people, storytelling, brand development and social media. With a mixed background in Communications and Psychology and experience in publishing, print and digital media, to running her own business in social media as a freelancer, she has had a pretty colourful career – but she is still always passionate about knowing more.

Over the last five years, she’s been lucky enough to work with various brands throughout Australasia and has seen success in multiple industries, including wellness, fitness, hospitality, e-commerce and property.

In her downtime, you’ll find her overindulging in an iced latte, snuggled up reading a good book. On the other hand, Max thrives off hiking outdoors, camping and adventuring off the beaten track.

She was born and bred across the ditch, originally from New Zealand, so she loves to explore her new turf of Australia – which she thinks is best done while soaking up the sunshine. These are the things that make her feel whole. When it comes to her wider beliefs, mental health and well-being lights her fire. She loves sausage dogs and firmly believes in trusting the process.

Previous Work History/Experience:

I found my love for social media through my own e-commerce business I began in University, renting designer fashion. I handled Klaviyo email marketing, paid ads, social media and website maintenance and development for 6 years in New Zealand.

Bauer Media New Zealand – Print and Digital media, used my journalism muscle and learnt the ropes of social media while working across fashion, lifestyle, food and home brands for 3 years.

Overland Group – creating and managing organic and paid campaigns for 3 footwear brands across social media. Management of content creation and photoshoots.

Agency experience – Worked for a NZ boutique social media agency managing a range of B2B and B2c brands.

Something weird about you

When on holidays with my partner and family, I would prefer to be unplugged, off grid and sleeping in a roof-tent or camp vs. boujee accom at an Airbnb or Hotel.

What’s something you know a lot about

Hiking, slumming it in a roof-tent. Camping in extreme conditions. Oh, and star signs (I’m a cancer BTW).

Favourite dog breed

Sausage dog obvi. We have 11 in our family. Why? My spirit animal – always energetic, loyal, cute, protective, sassy, packs a punch haha!
