Instagram Tests New ‘Top Posts’ Tab
On a new test that Instagram is conducting, users will see more top posts and Reels when they click on a hashtag. And that means we could be saying farewell to the ‘Recent’ tab, which showed the most recent posts on that hashtag regardless of the number of likes it had.
For a small group, we’re testing more recent and timely content in ‘Top’ and ‘Reels’ tabs in hashtags, and removing the ‘Recent’ tab. We want to see if this helps people connect with more interesting and relevant content on hashtags, while also keeping them across what’s current. pic.twitter.com/nLb6BiFRws

Spotify Introduces Video Podcasts To Platform
Great news for content creators in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada! They’re now able to upload video podcasts on Spotify, and with it come video-specific analytics that they can view and study.
Video podcasts have been a thing for over a year now, but Spotify has just recently opened its availability to the mentioned regions. It’s seemingly a direct competition to YouTube, which used to be, and currently still is, the default platform where creators upload video podcasts.
Spotify has yet to release news on whether they’ll be releasing this feature in other regions.
Instagram Values Originality With New Features
Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri posted a new update on his account on the new features we can expect on the app.
Product Tags are now available for everyone, so all users can tag a product in their posts as they would usually tag other people. Instagram has also enhanced the use of Profile Tags. Users have been able to label their profiles with ‘Actor’ or ‘Chef,’ and now these labels will appear when tagged in a photo. Mosseri referred to this feature as Enhanced People Tags.
The highlight of the new update is giving creators credit when it’s due. That’s why Instagram is making changes to content ranking so that it will discourage users from reposting content on Reels from other platforms.
(Like, TikTok. How many TikToks have you seen on your Reels tab? Too many.)
Three hours later, the site and its apps are back to normal. Thank God!
Twitter Tests Out Edit Button
Is it almost time? Twitter has been making tweaks and setting tests on their app for the much-awaited Edit Button.
New updates on this feature show that Edit History will be public, and users have an allowance of 1 hour to edit their tweets.
